Happy Kupala Night!

Kupala Night is a pre-Christian solstice holiday still celebrated all over northeastern Europe. (It falls a little after the actual solstice in Eastern Orthodox countries due to the gap between the Julian and Gregorian calendars.)

On Kupala Night, young people go swimming, dance, and jump over bonfires. Water and fire are both integral to Kupala Night celebrations, and quite a few people will get wet in water-related pranks.
