Well. Polish, Bulgarian, Slovenian, Czech, Ukrainian, and Russian are all Slavic languages, so they actually are all related. But I agree - people definitely don’t know the difference! It is absurd how many times I’ve been asked things like “You speak Bulgarian? Is that like, a dialect of Russian?”
